This restaurant is a hidden gem! As someone who has traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia, I can confidently say that the flavours and authenticity here are spot on. I visited with a group of friends for a casual dinner, and we decided to share a range of dishes. The spring rolls were crispy and packed with flavour, while the beef lok lak had just the right kick to it. I was particularly impressed with the freshness of the ingredients. The service was another highlight; our server was knowledgeable about the menu and helped us choose the best dishes to share. The only downside was that the place was a bit busy, and we had to wait longer than expected for our food to arrive. However, once it did, it was well worth the wait! The service was quick and the staff were friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. The only thing I’d suggest is maybe expanding their drink menu, as I would have loved to see some more unique options. Nonetheless, I left feeling satisfied and eager to return. The balance of flavours was perfect, and the chicken was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. My partner had the grilled prawns and said they were cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of spice. We finished off with some traditional desserts, and the coconut pudding was an absolute highlight! My only small critique would be that the portion sizes could be a touch larger, especially for the price you pay. However, the quality of the food and the overall experience more than made up for it. If you're in Palmerston North and looking for a delightful culinary experience, you absolutely have to check this place out. I will definitely be returning soon to explore more of the menu!
